I'll have to figure out how to inlarge the picture , eyes aren't what they used to be , as best as I can tell , that looks like the timing pin , that sets the pump timing at factory 12. 5* , what is the definition of hsg ?
Thanks for the picture .
That pin sets the engine at top dead center only the pump is set at the timing that the tag on the side of the gear housing (HSG) states the engine should be at. So if the engine is at top dead center and the pump marker is in the center of the hole on the side of the pump the timing is at the stock timing set at the factory. If you right click on the picture and left click save as save it to your desktop and then you can enlarge it.
Has anyone ever taken the timing pin out of its possition and put there little finger in the timing pin hole and felt a collur that is in the way of pushing the pin in all the way? This has me baffeled, and is the pin assembly movable by loosening the screws that hold the assembly and how much? Thanks
