I have a 3 gen and would like to see the procedures with pic's on how to service the 48 RE trans. Fluid/Filter change and band adj. I like the how to on electrical add on's and have used this info to install aux lights . But there is more to the truck than that. If I have missed the trans service section in the TDR please direct me to the issue thanks BIGNASTY

In the meantime, I have done a little research for you. For information on servicing the transmission, take a look at Issue 64, page 42; Issue 58, page 37; and Issue 56, page 148. You should be able to access this information via the digital magazine link on the home page.



On the question about electrical add ons, take a look at Issue 65, page 10 (automotive relays).



For bands, use the tips from Issue 71, page 40. But we HIGHLY RECOMMEND you follow the information contained in your Factory Service Manual for this job.
