Cummins, Inc. announced that they had recieved a letter on June 6, 2001 from the EPA that stated the Agency would NOT back off their October, 2002 deadline for "cleaner burning diesels". Cummins seems to be elated as they are saying they will be compliant. It is rumored that other engine mfg. s are shaking like a dog trying to pass a peach seed as they are unsure they can meet the deadline. Cat is one of those.
