erratic acceceration issues

Gentlemen: After totaling out my ol', but reliable 1992 Cummins 250. I purchased a 2010 3500 two months ago. 130k mi. Like it a lot, However, recently, when I put any demand on the engine, there is a periodic 'cut out' of power., like loss of spark in a gas engine. This is not very pronounced when empty, but very noticeable when pulling. I'm sure its not the manual trans, U joints/driveline/ diff.. ( smooth as silk when going downhill). Lost as lamb with these computer controlled vehicles.

Never noticed any erratic acceleration on my 2013. But it is a cometely different 4th gen with different programming. Just noticeable torque management below 40 mph.
Above 40 mph, you can feel the torque in the seat of your pants.

assume you checked and cleared any codes? some don't set a MIL indicator. Is the truck all stock? deleted? I kinda recall reading about cleaning the MAF sensor for stumbles.

Thanks, Beast 2B. DID NOT ck any codes & yes, its all stock. Your suggestion is the second one I've heard on the MAF sensor. I assume its a dealer fix.

No MAF sensor, doesn't exist on a diesel. I think he means MAP sensor and with the stupid EGR on that truck replacement is probably advised. FCA is also a potential issue for things like that.

To all who responded to 'erratic acceleration' issuse. All codes, egrs ect were addressed. Turned out to be, loose wires to fuel injectors!!. What the...? Alll tightened & she runs like a top!!

Good the truck is fixed up,

I had similar symptoms couple years ago it ended up been a bad fuel rail pressure sensor replaced under warranty.
