Twice in the morning the blinkers and headlights have acted up on my 06' 2500. You put on the left blinker but the right blinker would come on and vise versa. You'd put the high beams on and then they wouldn't want to turn off or the headlights wouldn't want to come on at all. Has anyone else had this issue where the lights go berserk intermittently?

The truck was in an accident a while back and had some front end work done. I'm wondering if this could be something as simple as a ground wire that's loose or poorly grounded.

There has been several discussions here regarding what you are describing. I believe ultimately it was the multifunction switch or strain on the wire harness that was causing the problems. Try doing a search on the multifunction switch.

The wire harness is a little short, when you have the steering wheel adjusted in a certain position it pulls the connector(?) or the harness and causes problems.

Hope that helps you find direction toward a fix.

I'll have to spend more time trying to find the old postings on this issue later. I tried searching with multiple different key words with no luck. I try again later. Thanks for the help. I spend most of my time on the 24 valve part of the site.

I had the turn signal problem you described.

I "fixed" it by relieving some of tension on the harness by piling it up on the lower panel under the steering wheel.
