You can see in my sig what I'm running and I've got a few questions. I have my Smarty set on 6, TQ3, wastegate off, RP stock, timing 2. If I roll into it my boost will go to about 43 or so but may fall to 35 at high rpm and then may recover. If I stab it she dumps a ton of smoke and the boost seems to spike to 40 and then fall to 35-33 or so with rising EGT's. It seems if I'm not heavy on the throttle it maintains boost at high rpm more so than if I open her up. The truck seems to pull strong but I'm wondering if my rail psi is being sucked down and not recovering. I know I should have a RP gauge to diagnose this but I don't, I'm wondering if anyone else has had these symptoms. I'm thinking of installing an Arson 3 to boost the CP3 and would like some feedback. Bottom line is I'm going to get the rail psi/LP digital gauge but if I buy that first it will slow down my purchase of the Arson kit ($$). PS- a turbo upgrade is on the horizon as I know I'm pushing the stocker outside it's efficiency map. Thanks Ryan.
 
It could be that your wastgate is blowing open from the drive pressure. On the 351's they had a weaker spring than the 341's. It could pop and seat.

Gotta match the fuel to the airflow. Bigger turbo and more fuel = more fun. To get the most out of it they should be balanced.
 
Sorry I pulled a 48 hr double at work and haven't been back. No I don't have a plastic IC, it blew with 15k on the clock a while ago.
