Dunno about the hybrid version, but we have the conventional '05 Escape XLT, and are entirely happy with it so far...

OH, and it looks like I'll be up your way the 21st and 22nd...

You dont want the hybrid. Most of the new ford stuff is cheap. Never heard anything but problems with the escape overall, hybrid would be an overcommplicated pile. Stick with a diesel
