Escrow account???????

I have sold a $5000 power rake, the buyer wants to go though a escrow account. He is 1200 miles away Is there any way I could get screwed this way??? I know nothing about this.

Who holds the escrow account, and the terms of the escrow, which state is the escrow being held in, would be possible issues (laws, rules could vary?). Check it out carefully.

Thanks for all your comments. I called my local bank. They will do it for me at no charge. I would feel alot better about it, I can trust them, I owe them enough.
