My friend has recently installed a Webasto heater on his Ram. The Webasto heater has a relay which energizes to power the heater blower(to defrost/warm the cab). I was wondering if the Espar heater has the same feature. The instructions were pretty vague with the Webasto, and I was wondering where I should tap this power wire into the system to power the blower. I thought that maybe just running it to the power side of the blower switch would work, but I don't know (without having a schematic) if it would feed back through the system to something else. I thought I'd ask here and see if any of you guys running the Espar heaters have this feature and if so, where Espar wants you to tap into the system. . Thanks in advance. .

The Espar does kick the fan on at 135 deg. It does tap the feed to the fan switch. You do need to put the heater on before you shut the truck off.

So where's the best place/price to buy an Espar? I figure if I put my big fuel tank in sometime in the near future, I'll get the plumbing done to support one of these heaters, so I can add one in the near future as well.

Thanks.

Espar -- blower connection

The Ram Espar kit provides you with everything you need, plus some pretty good instructions. This includes a wiring harness that is very complete. You just disconnect the heater where it plugs into the stock harness and plug the Espar heater cable into the male and female ends, effectively splicing it in. It's as easy as plugging in an EZ (at least this part is)

Contact me via PM or email and I can provide you with a couple names for good prices
