Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Estimate on HP

Hello guys I am new here and am going to buy a 97 5 speed 4x4 2500. It has the following mods #10 fuel plate, 370 marine injectors, 4k govenor spring kit, and a PDR HX40. How many horsepower do you think it makes? Thanks

High 3's to low 4's would be my guess.

Id say from things ive seen, your prob running atleast 400hp... maybe 450-500

With all I have seen on a Dyno-Jet that have parts equal to this truck that interests you I will say from 375-425hp +/- a bit. It will depend on how fresh the service is(filters,valves,lashed correctly,checked for boost leaks,etc,etc)to attain a good number... ... . Andy

A friend of mine has the same setup exactly in his truck and his dyno numbers were 452hp. I couldnt believe it until I seen the dyno sheet.

Now he does have everything forward... . the plate,star wheel,AFC housing...

I've been asked a few times what my truck makes. I always say until I dyno it I would be lying! I get a kick out of the guys who put in a "chip" and just start spouting off these crazy HP numbers.
