Anybody want to guess what will happen on the dyno next time?

Last time I was at 198/512. I want to make another run at it before I change the turbo, injectors, exhaust and fuel pin. before the last run, all I had done was turned up full power screw, rotated the fuel pin, 16cm housing, and turned up the smoke. Since then, I have added the Intercooler, turned up full power some more, backed off on smoke a little, and turned the starwheel a couple of turns. Boost is up from 20# to 26#. SOP dyno says I have done some good, but not sure yet. I'm hoping for 230/600+. Anybody think I will get close?

Idea.....

Set up a contest! Whomever gits the closest wins a consolation prize:D Hummm. Say, a $25 gift cert. at Pizza HutOo.

I'll start :)

222hp/585 torque

Wish me luck.

Make mine GOdfather's instead

Based on his past experience, and assuming he has similar EGT under hard load, I'm going to venture 245/620.

Lol-when i look at what kinda power you guys are pushing It makes me think about the "new" Cummins being 325/600 isn't all that big of a deal, especially when i see what you all did to get those gains :)

Yeah, I wouldnt be a bit surprised if half of us active BOMBers/ tuners/tweakers were over the new pickups' torque, at the flywheel, at least. Not sure about the HP, though. Doubt many of us are over 325. But, if I wanted only 600 ft-lbs to accompany 325hp, I'd have bought a V8. I like the 2. 5-3 to 1 HP to ft-lb ratio.

Alright how bout me. 89 non ic, POD'S 3 turns on fuel, pin turned to deepest, governor screw almost wide open turns 3400, not much to smoke and starwheel if any, 5"stacks, BHAF... . ???? Stock condition, stacks and k&n af in airbox box did 177 and 417. 5sp. 36#'s of boost

You guys slay me.

It is really fun watching you guys climb up the hp ladder. If I had known it was possible to get what some of you guys are getting out of your motors I would never have converted. Plus I'd be able to drive my truck instead of work on it.

On the rollers none of the big three stock Diesels I have run against have broken 275 RWHP on the rollers. There are probably more than a few 1st Gens. capable of turning those kind of numbers. Remember all those nice HP numbers are flywheel numbers.

I didn't get to dyno it Friday afternoon like I planned. :{

I will let everyone know what it does when I get to. I am amazed at how easy this has been so far. Something may crap out on me tomorrow, but I couldn't complain. The engine is getting close to 260k now and still doesn't use any oil. I still have less than $7000 in it (that includes buying a 92 "parts" truck)

I have a small air conditioning problem I have to address now. I'll start a new thread and see what happens.

Dynomometer lotto... what fun:rolleyes:

Scott... . I hope you get busy soon!!!;)

OK that said I'll guess 231/601 That is not including any bonus hp that you may possibly get granted from The Pastor for doing a sort of "interim" dyno check prior to making some planned upgrades.
