These head gasket failures are frustrating to read, but if it happens to me, I'll just use it as an opportunity to improve upon a bad situation.
First, I'll do it myself, or with the help of willing locals.
Second, if I can get the head ported while it's off, I certainly will.
Third, I'll add whatever improved gasket that I can get, to drop CR and help things last better.
BUT, since I'm not running propane or nitrous, and have no plans to do so, I'll hope for the time being that mine holds.
It's like over in f-body-land... the mod-crazy types look forward to blowing their motor, so they have an excuse to rebuild and make it better (usually into a 383 or 396).
