Well, with the timing advance caused by bigger injectors and the VA box, would the addition of Propane cause detonation? Those of you running a vapor system, what is the size and type of line that is used to supply the propane to the intake elbo? 1/4"NPT? 1/4"swage? or something different.

You need to tune the propane system by throttling the amount of lp flowing into the intake. Most systems can be made to cause detonation if you crank it up. The ATS can be drilled for instance. If you leave that system stock then you will be fine. The system I run and sell can be be improved by running a larger feed line to the intake which will allow more lp vapor to be pulled into the turbo.

the reason I asked about how the propane is delivered is because I am making a modification to my silencer ring replacement that will allow the admission of propane. A little like a venturi on a carburetor, but it will rely on molecular entrainment and not a vacuum to pull in the propane vapor.

HVAC,

Ever since meeting you and seeing your truck at Vegas last November I've been thinking what you should do is try the Impco model "M". Just a thought.

Good to see you post again.

Wait a minute, I thought a diesel ran on Detonation! "Detonation=the ignition of the fuel charge by the combination of heat and compression"

Detonation as in the whole combustion chamber volume igniting at once... prior to or at the initial admission of diesel. (propane pre-ignition)
Dual flame fronts are a bad thing! #ad

Also since the Pump timing is advanced by the VA and because larger injectors effectively advance timing along with the higher compression ratio on the ETH, I was currious if this combination could be used with propane safely.
ETH+275's+VA=about 350HP... all I would use is a 50 HP C3H8 system. I used the term "detonation" to describe a condition where all the fuel ignites instantaneously. In this case it would be the detonation of propane caused by the higher compression ratio, advanced pump timing, and initial ignition of the diesel. This would then be followed by the normal continuous and slower burn of the diesel since it is injected over time relative to crankshaft rotation.
