it was my understanding that the 5spd was to have the HY35W with a 12cm2 housing, as oppossed to the 9cm2 in the auto, however I was just taking down some part #'s for record keeping and found that my 2001 5spd has an HX35W (brass fitted, rubber hosed wastegate actuator) turbo is this correct, and if so what would the turbine housing size be?

12cm2?!?
my CPL is 2496

is there a way to tell what size housing it has without removing it and measuring. i was just on dodgeram.org and they are saying some have reported 10cm2 housings on the HX.

i'm so confused!!!

ok i'm getting in deeper, what does ETC and ETH stand for?
I thought ETC was the 5spd and auto's and ETH was the 6spd HO.
now i know the 98-00 had HX35W with 12cm2 housings my truck was built in 5/00 so we could call it a 99. 5 time frame for the motor being built.
