Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) european cummins 6.7liter stroked 5.9

reading the article on the 2007. 5 dodge it stated that the new 6. 7liter for US is not the stroked 6. 7L available in the european model.



My question is has anyone stroked their Cummins using the european crankshaft?



this is out of my scope and budget, but wouldn't there be advantages for more power with a larger displacement? mostly torque I imagine.



Seems some of the Pulling crowd would be all over this. (maybe this is a little secret and my life is now in danger )

Be kinda like taking a 350 chev and boring it . 030 over with a 400 crank huh. Wonder if someone will jump in here on this

It would require special connecting rods that I doubt exist, unless the euro 6. 7L is the same deck height as the 5. 9L which in that case you could use the euro rods.



I doubt the pullers would want the 6. 7, the 5. 9 already has a lot of torque and it's HP they're really after when they spin them past 4000-5000 RPM. Something you could not do with a 6. 7L stroker. Another drawback is high cylinder wall loading from the long stroke/short rod combo.
