Havent seen one that small around my shop in a while. :-laf

Smart alec :-laf

It may not be REAL big, but its a little special. Meets the 2. 8" inducer limit with a scosh to spare. Oo.

Kinda looks like a Bat1 :-laf

Titanium Compressor wheel :D

BBD

BAT 1? Titanium compressor? What are you talkin' about Scott? :-laf

The adaptor is custom made for this charger from the manufacturer. It is pretty close to the shock tower, but installs with the studs in place in the adaptor with little trouble. Even able to use the stock tube from charger to the cooler using a 3. 5" to 3" boot adaptor.

Looks good though, is that fit in your street class?

Hey Matt, what chargers are you guys using for street class trucks? How do they run on the street? This thing is slightly under 2. 8" on the inducer, but the titanium wheel is supposed to be able to make up a lot. Supposed to make a "clean" 60 psi no problem. :--) May do even more but I can't get it there with my fuel, and I've got quite a bit for a 24v. Anyone have any real world news on the pro 52, I am curious how they compare. I'm told this thing should spool better and have the durability and flow up top to handle the heavily fueled single charged trucks.

Street class around here is a 2. 5 wheel for most the pulls. So i have no clue what the guys in those classes are running. For DHRA the street class is 2. 8 i think one of the hot chargers in that class will be Auroa 5000(2. 8 wheel) from ATS on some dmax's. Very streetable too on a dmax. I have seen a cummins street truck making 60lbs of boost with 60lbs of back pressure too with that same 5000 charger. If i was trying to run street class i would probably run one. Matt

Interesting stuff Matt. Is ATS selling that 5000 setup for the Dodge? If so, I wonder how the price compares to the pro 52. This BAT 1 with the titanium compressor is very competitively priced compared to the pro 52. Out west, the street class charger rule is a bit random. Varies a bit from pull to pull. A pull we are going to Apr. 23rd is any single charger. I am pushing for the 2. 8" inducer limit for most pulls to try to standardize things out here a bit.

I haven't measured drive pressure personally on this thing, but at 50 psi of boost, I dont think its anywhere near its efficiency limit, it acts like it has a lot left in it yet, where my b1-2 seemed to be choking after 45. It takes a bit of fuel and some rpm to light it, but when it does :--)

That is absolutely beautiful, Craig, I am seriously jealous. :-laf

Where did you get it and what did it set you back? I am in the hunt for some new injectors and possibly a B1 since the 'ol birthday is coming up, but I am searching for the best single charger option and that is a very attractive option you have there. :D

Forrest, while titanium is obviously heavier than aluminum, My understanding is that the added strength it provides allows more material to be removed in more places on the wheel, allowing the weight to come down and more creative cuts, which allows for better airflow characteristics. I don't think the ti wheels end up lighter than the aluminum, but not necessarily much heavier. Hey Joe, this charger is a real hoot and makes a ton of hp, and I have been driving it around on the street a bit, but with your rock crawling, big tires and heavy truck, you would likely want something that spools a bit earlier.

Yeah, I hear ya there, that is what I am looking for. I am sure there is a B1 out there just right for my application and low end power and spooling requirements. I won't be pullin' any sleds with the rig anymore but running it down the drag strip, smokin' rice burners on the street and climbing monster mud hills are the main uses for it now.

I just noticed on that pic of your new addition all mounted up, that there is a spacer/adapter to bolt it up to the manifold. Is that a port reducer since it appears that the intake ports of the new turbine are much larger than you manifolds exit ports? Is that turbine common on all Bomber turbos or was your turbine a bit more special?

Man, just lookin' at that gorgeous piece I may have to get the wife to let me have my birthday present early. I want one! :-laf Oo.
