Mine will be replaced Friday. Lower BJs on a 2003 2x4, no third parties found so I will replace with OEM, 45k miles on odometer.

I made some quick calculations: Moog BJs, when available, will last 6+ times longer than OEM but will cost 5 times more. That's fair. But factor in the installation time & alignment, those low quality OEM will probably cost me $500 over the next 5 years :(

All y'all, let me know asap if you found a replacement for 2003 2x4. Pleeeeeease :{

B/J's

36,202 all 4 bad according to the front end specialist when i took it in for an alignment. 5star can't do alignments on HD trucks. (THANK GOD). Went straight

to service dept showed the yellow from the F. E. S. appointment next wed no charge. also am asking for new tires due to cupping of same.

GREAT FRIDGING ENGINEERING DC

changed all 4 myself at 32000, dale white motors in elko nevada voided my whole powertrain warranty because of a leaking axle seal caused by an axle u-joint failure, they said my bfg all terrains were too aggressive, the truck had the level lift and puny 315s now the truck runs 37s on 6 inches and the ball joints are already getting loose at 50000, every ford i have ever owned, never had as many problems or warranty issues as my 03 dodge 2500 4x4, who builds this pretty junk any way must be made in taiwan, by the way i will never buy another dodge truck again, 3 new trucks in 6 years, all junk

This may have already been discussed, but what is the best way to check for a bad ball joint. Pardon the stupid question.

All of mine are shot and have been since 25K. I have 38K now and will replace them when they get worse.

I just had mine in the other day getting the oil changed and brakes cleaned and lubricated. My mechanic checked the front end as he said Ford and Dodge are having problems with ball joints. Sure enough all four are done at 68 thou kilometers or 44 thou miles. As you know the warrenty is done at 60 thou kilometers. Presently we are in negotiations with the dealer and DC. The best deal it looks like I'am going to get is a 50/50 split on cost's which is still not right but better than footing the full bill. Very frustrating trying to deal with these fundemental oriffices.

What ever happened to MR GREEN I miss him

My truck has been pulling to the right since it was new. It now has 22000 on it and it seems to be getting worse. Could this be because of worn ball joints? Should I jack my truck up and see if the tires move up and down in the ball joints? I have 33X12. 50 tires should I switch back to stock before taking to my dealer? This is BS if ball joints are wearing out this quick. My Toyota T100 that I got rid of after buying my CTD had 185k on the front end and no problems except for the idler arm.

Checked mine at 6000 miles uppers are loose. I am sure the dealer would say it is within spec! I had a Duramax all front end parts had grease fittings.

I baby my truck so I know they were bad from the getgo.

Mine never started wearing tires bad until 2##,### miles when I replaced them, I'm @ 239,957 right now ... ... ... ... ... . I always get 7#,### plus out of my MasterCraft C/T's

Mine were "within' spec" at 30k i had to pay to replace them, they were clunking like crazy, ive got 80k on now and they're starting to make noise again
