Everyone who replaced their diff and trans covers, did you throw out the old ones?

I just put PML covers on my front and rear diffs and transmission and wonder if I should keep my old covers. I have enough junk lying around and don't think I'll need them. Any thoughts?

Kept both of mine, along with the nice factory gaskets and bolts, when I switched over to Mag-Hyteks!

I tossed mine... After a few month on the bench, it started to collect nuts, bolts and other junk. :-laf I'll probably hit something and bust a cover. :{

Throw 'em in the dishwasher and use 'em for popcorn.

Send a front one to me. I was in a hurry one day and put a floor jack under the pumpkin in order to get a jackstand under the left axle. I bent the bottom of the cover just a little and now it leaks a drop every couple of days. Send me one and I'll get you something for it.

Got Mag-Hytec DD Trans pan and diff covers... . threw the old ones out. I'm a recovering pack rat.

Put them in the Pay it forward section of the site if your gonna toss em'. sure someone can use them sometime or another...

I put the factory ones in the PML boxes and put them on a shelf in the garage, if I ever get rid of the truck I will switch them back to stock.

Good idea Signal73, I've already sent Posm a pm and will offer the rear diff and trans cover tomorrow.



I am also (trying to be) a recovering packrat. This is one small way to give back for all I've learned. Thanks.
