I'm another who sees more brake dust on the right front wheel. Seems to me too many of us are seeing it to be insignificant. I believe us who do not have brake pull yet will eventually once we fry the pads, rotor ,caliper or all the above. My guess is a design problem since this seems to be happening on the latest 2 piston calipers as well as with the older single piston design. It's time for my 10,000 mile tire rotation so I'm gonna take a real close look at the way the right VS left caliper slides/floats assembled without the pads installed. I'm hoping for a simple shade tree fix assuming I can find a difference between the right and left side. Anyone already been down this road that can shed some light?

Dane both my Rams had more dust on one of the rims but only the 99 pulled. My 2001. 5 with 4 wheel discs dosen't even hint of pulling. Believe me I am sensitive about this issue. It was one of my peeves with the 99. If it ever starts pulling I am going postal, big time. My new Ram dosen't seem as bad as far as dust goes. Do you have 4 discs?

My 2001 with 4 wheel disc also seems to have more brake dust on the right front. Haven't rotated tires yet, but will post what I see. Brakes work excellent.

I thought that my front calipers might be bad, so I replaced them. I also started lubing the caliper pins on a regular basis. I found some synthetic caliper grease for that. I'm getting very good wear and no brake pulling for over 30,000 miles.
The steering gear box is a separate issue.

Shortly after buying my 2001. 5 4WD, I had
a lot of accumulated brake dust showing up
on the right wheel. A few weeks passed, and
I was about to have it looked into, when
it stopped doing this. I just figured the
brake pad on that side being new may have had
a couple mils of "soft stuff" at the surface and is now down to normal consistency. I
never yet had a brake pulling problem.
