When driving without a trailer the underside of my truck stays clean. Hook a trailer and pull hard and its coated with oil film. The part I do not get, I run about 8000 miles between oil changes and I am only adding about a quart maybe a quart and a half. I run 50-50 empty and towing. Any ideas?? Truck has a 150k, oil analysis just came back a+++ from blackstone, air filter clean, oil puke bottle clean, I am confused any help would be great. TIA Karl

Could be your power steering pump. Not the pump itself but the seal between the motor and the pump where engine oil can leak. That sounds like a lot of oil for a Cummins to go through in 8000 miles.
