SINCE I'VE ADJUSTED MY PUMP I NOW HAVE MORE SMOKE. I KNOW THAT I CAN AND PROBABLY WILL ADJUST MY SMOKE SCREW TO ELIMINATE SOME OF THIS. MY QUESTION IS THAT I'M ASSUMING THIS SMOKE IS UNBURNED FUEL. THAT SAID,IS THERE ANY CHANCE OF SOME OF THIS UNBURNED FUEL WASHING THE OIL OFF OF MY CYLINDER WALLS AND CAUSING PREMATURE WEAR. JUST WONDERING.

Fuel that washes down past the rings is not going to go out the tail pipe as smoke, conversly if smoke goes out the pipe as excessive fuel, then it did not get washed down past the rings.

You are wasting fuel with lots of smoke, so reducing that element will add to engine life, but to what degree or how can one measure it is probably unknown.
