On my '04 3500 4x4 SRW, I would like to change my 3. 73 gears for the above. Any takers? I have less then 20k miles. :)

There is no 4. 56 available.

I've changed my 4. 10 to 3. 73 (6 speed, always running empty, very light boat towed a few times about 5 miles to river) The guy marked the contact pattern with yellow dye, as he thought I would'nt like the new ratio and would have him switch back. I love the taller gears at 70 mph.

PM me if you want to buy, but sorry no swap. (where were you 6 months ago?) 27K empty miles

What is the axle ratio on the Power Wagen?

I have a camper on my truck and frequently drive on forest service roads in the mountains. I also drive in Mexico where a slower ratio would be prefered. I also like to increase my tire size.

the PW is a 4. 56, ahh but the rear axle is only a 10. 5 inch ring gear

Not the same as most CTD rams, with a 11. 5 inch gear

But you should be able to put in the front one, I guess

I would be interested. I have an 04 3500 DRW 4x4 with 4:10 and I have been wanting to make the swap. Where are you located?

I believe that the "GM 11. 5 Corp 14-bolt" AAM gears will work in the DC AAM 11. 5 AAM rear in our trucks... might want to ask. I think I read they are the same... different 11. 5 axles, but I believe they stated they used the same gear sets.

And they are available in 4. 56.

If you were closer, I'd swap my 4:10s for 3:73s in a minute.

I also wanted to add that the 9. 25 AAM gears and carrier are the same for both dodge and GM... they use the same ARB air locker.

I was browsing the KORE site this morning, and found that he sells 4. 10's and 4. 56's for around $650.

From the KORE site:

"KORE RING AND PINION

Running big rubber and need to put the pulling power back into your truck?

KORE now stocks 4:10 and 4:56 ring and pinion sets for 2003-2005 Dodge Rams with AAM axles.

KORE recommends the 4:10 ratio when running 35” diameter tires and the 4:56 ratio when running 37” tires.

Ring and pinion sets for the 10. 5” AAM rear axle that comes on the Hemi and came on some California Cummins Turbo Diesel models equipped with automatic transmissions are available but special order only. "

I'd love some 4. 10's for my truck, I might just do it. I only have to find a shop to do the labor.

The KORE installer and the guy I recommend is Jason Hughes. He has a shop in San Diego and also installs suspensions for DRC. He has done some amazing work on the Kore Race truck and the DRC "Big Red" Truck. He also has a few sets of good( Not New ) 3. 73 gear sets for sale. Give him a call @619-298-3568. He is an honest and fair guy who can build anything. I am sure he will take good care of the TDR member base and offer good prices too.

I Have A 06 2500 And Just Put 4. 56 Gears Front And Rear. I Bought The Front Axle Gears At The Dealer For A Power Wagon And The Rear Gears From 4 Wheel Parts Wholesalers For A Gm 11. 5 Inch. Works Great With My 35 Inch Cooper Stt Tires.

I wonder if GM has a 3. 50 gear set? That's the set I would like in mine
