As it stands I am not planning on upgrading to a 4" system, no EGT problems. But I would like to know if removing the muffler would help to improve the MPG's due to better flow? I have installed injectors and fixed the boost. But I have not seen any increase in MPG's. I know that I only drive 20 miles to and from work, but am only getting around 15 MPG. Any help you have I will try.

honestly, IMO I would take the muffler off. I went ahead and did this, and as an affect, yes the truck is a little louder... on the outside only. But the turbo seems to spool up quicker and all around, the truck just seems to respond better.

Just my $. 02

mayn't make real difference, but it does improve the intangible groovin' portion of the overall drivin' experience, man...
