On the way home from work today, when I stepped on the brake the exhaust plate would cycle(off -on) open and closed. Never done this before as the micro is connected to the go pedal not the brake. So I started to trouble shoot and found that when I held the brake down the engine idle would start to come up. Tried the fast engine idle and it worked but no cruise control. This fast idle is connected to the cruise(old style) Diesel Service Group(no quick plug tapped into cruise servo) The brake is what turns it off. Disconnected 10 A fuse for fast idle ,now x brake works normal. What could be doing this? Has to be something in common to both units?Any thoughts? Thanks

I put the fuse back in . Cruise worked but not after I used the fast idle(10A)is for fast idle only a inline fuse in power source. X brake now works normal again. Has something to do with the power source for the fast idle. Fuse has never blew. HELP The wonders of the electronic age!
