Hi Rikki, I'm Scott and I'm a BOMBaholic. It's been 6 months since my last power upgrade. ( this is where you say "Hi Scott"). Just kidding, welcome aboard.

I don't have any experience with the puck, the Edge EZ would be my first choice as a plug and play power upgrade. Here's their site http://www.edgeproductsinc.com/ .

As for exhaust brakes, I'm using a BD 4" and love it. There are a few other choices out there, we all have our favorite. Here's a link to BD Power http://www.bd-power.com/ .

what bigsaint said

If you are just looking for a good boost in power without compromising clutch life or other drivetrain parts, the edge EZ is hard to beat. I also use the BD 4" remote mount, my dad has a pacbrake. They both work great. I went with the remote mount because i knew i would be changing turbos some day and most of the different turbos can not utilize the direct mount brake.

PS Bigsaint, My name is Phil and its been 72 hours since my last power upgrade, im still shaking:D

Hi Phil

Don't worry Phil, the diesel tremors will subside with time. Keep the faith :D . Good post on the B-1 by the way, glad to see those egts. came down for ya  .

addicted big time

Scott, I now know i am sick in the head. This is a good way for any of you new guys to know that you have become addicted.

I just spent all this money on a wonderfull new turbo to bring my EGT's back in check. Now that i can not get the pyro hot, all i want is more fuel to get it hot again. Definitely addicted I guess it will never end:eek:

Hi Rikki, welcome to the TDR. Phil, I know what you mean, DD II's are waiting to be installed.

I had a Pacbrake, and when I went with the B 1 had to go to the BD 4". I couldn't see much difference, if any I'd say the Pacbrake was a little better. I've got the BD set to 24#. And Rikki, the Edge products seem to be the most popular and trouble free. I started with the first PE Edge, added an EZ, then traded up to the Comp. , and have had no problems, just fun driving.
