I am in the middle of installing a BD remote exhaust brake and I can't figure out where to put the vaccume line. I tried to put it on the middle line comming out of the brake booster but fluid came out of it. The directions are very poor and the tech sevice people are worse. Please help. . Also how do you adjust the pressure for a 12 valve with the small exhaust springs? Thanks:)

The brake booster is hydraulic on most diesels. It has nothing to do with vacuum. The vacuum pump is belt driven on the drivers side towards the front of the engine in front of the power steering pump. It has a 90* rubber boot on it which attaches to a hard plastic line. It should have a spring clamp on it, and it is about 5/8" in diameter. Use a pair of pliers to gently open the clamp and slide it back.

I am not familiar with the BD brake or the 12V, so I don't know how to adjust the back pressure.

not sure how you would do it on a remote mount. on the turbo mount there are 2 plugged holes in the elbow that you can remove the plug and install a baynot fitting and hose and hook it to a pressure gauge. Even a tire pressure gauge would work if you have a place to get the pressure signal from. All you need is pressure reading in the pipe before the E brake with the brake activated

Thanks guys, I think I've got it all set now. I'll try to hook my boost guage to the brake temporarily to get a reading. Thanks again:p
