I have a neighbor that has a 2000 3500 W/4:10 rear end 4X4 automatic W/OD he tows a 34 ft Designer Jayco with 3 slides and has been asking me about my exhaust brake and if he can put one on his. Does anyone know? Does anyone have one installed and if so what type?

Yes an Exhaust brake can be installed on an Automatic... as a matter of fact I have the pacbrake on my truck.

BUT, your buddy needs to call Bill Kondolay. Bill will give him the scoop on how the e-brake words on the auto. Also tell your buddy that he NEEDS to stay away from aftermarket items that claim to manually put his transmission into lockup!!!!

I have a 99 auto with a BD exhaust brake and Torque-lok. Works great. Call Piers at Bd and he will fix you up. Had mine since December of 99.
Great service and they have a lot of history with their products.
