I was doing some work on my truck the other day and noticed some oil in the turbo when I removed the intake hose. I do have a mega filter on it and was wondering it is from the mega filter or from using the exhaust brake all the time? I went to the Holset trouble shooting site and it said that Exhaust brake pressure can cause oil to leak past the compressor seal. It said that you should reset the exhaust brake to engine manufacturers recommendations. I didn't think the exhaust brake had an adjustment? Does it?

Is your BD brake turbo mounted?

When I installed mine I went to NAPA and bought a cheap pressure gauge. There are two tapped ports on the brake, so I just threaded it into one of them. The actuating shaft has a lock nut and can be turned to increase or decrease the back pressure. I forget what the spec is, try a search as it's been discussed before.
