There was a article 2 or 3 magazines ago about a switch that was in the knob that one of the members had made and was selling. Could you email his contact info. to me. Thanks, Eric

Ya Genos sell that switch that replaces your shiffing knob. Hope no one else drives your PU and has to find reverse. It replaces the shifting diagram. The new Cummings/Jacobs brakes comes with a switch that mounts on the side of the shiffing lever. I think it runs about $40. Thats the way i would go.

Now if US Gear will ever come up with switch that is better than that little key pad type switch. I called and ask about it and I was told that they dont have any plans on changing this switch style...

I could not get my push pull 2 speed axle to work with it...

ejlbuild,

The shifter knob at Geno's(5/8") will not fit on 94-98 (3/4") year trucks as they are different diameter. If your truck is a later year then it will fit or you could go to piers and look in their exhaust brake and accessories section and find ones that mount on the shifter.

crabman :)

I got parts for my Ebrake at Cummings West here in No. Cal. I would guess that any large Cummings Parts shop could order one for you. The switch you want comes with the 03/04 brake

If they can't find reverse, they shouldn't be driving 7000# of Iron on a public highway.

Exhaust brake switch under six dollars.

Wal-Mart boat switch (pull on push off ) about five dollars and a little mounting work to place on side of stick shift ,your choice. Mine in use five years easy and works fine. Ron bissett in metro Louisville KY. :D

Bombero where can I get my hamds on the new Jacobs switch?

SHobbs,

The Jacobs Ebrake switch is available from Cummins, Part #3870838. I installed mine a couple of months ago, works great.

I had the PacBrake shift lever model switch on my 02. This was before Cummins came out with the shift lever mount. Personally, I like the aluminum PB model better than the plastic Cummins model. Too bad they are so expensive.

I have a push/pull switch for my U. S Gear o/d on my 5 spd shifter. I used a floor mounted dimmer switch for my B. D. exhaust brake, it works great-John
