Exhaust brake

I am wanting to know if anyone has installed a exhaust brake on a 2003 or 2004 with the 305 motor and the 48re trans? A freind and I would like to have exhaust brakes on our trucks. I have the 2004, and his is the 2003. We went the both the Dodge and Cummins dealers,and neither one has a exhaust brake for the two trucks with auto. . We can find brakes for the 6 speeds, but not auto. They tell us no one makes a exhaust brake for auto until you have a 2006. Any help on this or do we just forget the idea?

Do a search for exhaust brakes for you year model. Dodge will not warranty an engine with exhaust brakes for early gen 3. I forget all the particulars, but 06 is the first year they've got them.



Others here will probably chime in with the details.

i think the 47re/48re is the part dodge won't warrenty
