Has anyone had a (good or bad) experience installing a Pacbrake PRXB on their 2005 TD with a 48RE ? I'm told I need a ECM bypass & a ATS Co-pilot to make TC lockup happen. Who offers the best price ? . Any reliability problems so far ? I can be reached via e-mail at -- email address removed --. Would appreciate your help.

Give Randolph Dodge a call. Their address is 1310 E. Main St. , Eastland, TX. 76448. Their number is 254-629-8986. They are a 5-Star Dealership. When the family and I were coming home from AZ, we were in need of an oil change. It was a Saturday when we got to Randolph Dodge. They took us right away, changed the oil and got us back on the road in under 30 min. I had a chance to talk to the Service Manager there, and he told me that they have installed a bunch of the Pac Brakes in the 05 Autos with no problems reported. Hope that helps.

My understanding is that Pac Brake offers the TC lockup module... is that right?

Thats correct. They sell a ATS Co-pilot that enables torque converter lockup. Contact Trevor @ Pacbrake 1-800-663-0096 for a complete explaination. I'm installing a Pacbrake PRXB exhaust brake along with the ATS co-pilot on my 2005 3500 4x4 TD with 48re transmission. Sounds like the way to go when towing in the mountains. Good luck.

Tal;ked to Randolph Dodge today & said they were no longer installing the Pacbrake due to difficulty obtaining units. Thanks for responding to my post.
