I am happy with my new PacBrake unit. Works all the time. I will not buy another truck without an E-Brake. If it don't come with it, such as the new 6. 7, I will install one. It makes all the difference. My trailer is ~8K and I pull it only a couple times a year.

i had a jake break installed on monday i won't be able to pick it up until this friday. (out of town for work) i had a pacbreak on my 96 and worked great for 200k+ miles until i sold it. i got a 2006 in november and could not wait to get another one installed. this summer i will be traveling alot so i wanted it installed before i take off. eaither one will work. i got a better warranty on the jake break due to extended warranty for my truck. yes it covers an exhaust break as part of the engine!

Jake

I have a Jake installed on my 06 6 speed. Works as advertised. Does a nice job controlling speed with the cruise control. Has about a 1 second delay when you let off the throttle, I've gotten used to that. With the 6 speed it works well even at low RPM's. The belt is expensive, $79. 00 on Geno's web site. It is a well made product. Besides telling someone you have a Jake Brake on your truck sounds cooler than Pac Brake. :)
