I own a 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 Quad-Cab, 5. 9 Cummins, 4x4, Auto-Trans, Long bed dually.
I am wanting to have an exhaust brake installed in the near future. I’ve been reading Diesel Power and the TDR publications and have just become a member. My dilemma is which company product application to use. I’ve read that BD Diesel, Banks, Pac-Brake PRXB & Jacob have all said that they have a product for my year truck. The Jacob Brake is endorsed by Dodge and Cummins and is now a standard option on the new Dodge Diesel trucks. Could you please help me with which product would be best for the 2006 truck? I’ve heard some are belt driven and others have a compressor set-up. The retard of one vs. another and I’ve heard that they break down easy. I want a reliable well working exhaust brake.
Thanks Eben
