Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) exhaust brake

With an automatic trans will an exhaust brake work as good as with a manual trans, and if so what kind should I buy?

I think you will need the lock up to get anywhere near as good as a manuel. I have a Pac brake on my 6 speed and love it.
