Thanks for everyone's opinions and responses. I have gotten more out of here than I knew before, so thanks again. I have narrowed it down to either the pac brake or jake brake. Couple of questions on both.

pac brake - Since it connects to the computer, does it also have the 2 second delay? Does it work at idle/0mph?

e brake - Is there a way to reprogram the ecm to less than a 2 second delay? Does it work at idle/0mph?

Thanks again for all the responses.

Any of the exhaust brakes that run off of the ECM will have the same exact delay. I really doubt it is on the order of 2-seconds, however. My feeling is that it is just long enough to allow you to shift gears without it engaging. I'm not sure why you would want an instant "on" feature but then I am also use to having the delay.

If you really don't want the delay feature, you don't have to attach it to the ECM. You could attach it to a micro switch or hand switch. All the ECM does is supply a +12V source after the accelerator has been released and a slight delay has occurred. For you guys with the micro switches desiring a delay, you can purchase a variably timing relay to add this feature.

Regardless of what brand you choose, GET ONE!

P. S. The Ebrake works at any speed including zero for warm-ups. I not only installed the supplied dash mounted master switch, but I also installed a gear shifter mounted switch (2-speed axle) so that I can toggle it on and off as desired. I alway toggle it off at stop signs, high speed turns, and at cool-down.

You can have Pac with foot control or ECm its up to you . The delay is about 1. 5 to 1. 8 sec. on ECM control , none with manual switch on linkage for GO ped. Ron in Louisville KY.     :D
