Modified trans and exhaust brakes

The benefits of towing with an exhaust brake are obviously very beneficial. One of those things that once you try it you'll never want to go back.

Now, how about unloaded? I absolutely LOVE driving my truck with the exhaust brake unloaded. My truck is an absolute thrill for me to drive, everyday. My banks brake hooks into the TPS so as soon as I have my foot off the throttle the brake engages.

We took a quick camping trip to Show Low AZ this weekend. About 1/2 way there is a real nasty canyon (Salt River Canyon) with about a 2000' steep grade on both sides and a lot of switchbacks. Towing my 10K 5er, I dropped into 5th gear and coasted all the way down using my service brakes only a couple of times on the sharper curves. I always wonder what the cars following me thing when they (almost) never see my brake lights.

We tow a 13,500 lb 36' 5ver and hit the road at 21,180 lbs GCW (21,500 lbs GCWR). When we ordered this truck, a Jacobs e-brake was a negotiated part of the deal, so it was installed by the Dodge dealer before we ever took delivery. It carries a Mopar accessory part number for our truck. It is probably the best towing accessory I have - I wouldn't tow this heavy without it.

I have absolutely loved my e-brake. i have no idea how i lived without this thing, it's a god-send in my opinion. I even use it when I am not towing anymore. its great for eliminating those times when you just need to 'rest' your foot on the brake for a little bit. . even those add up quickly. I HIGHLY reccomend gettting one for anyone that doest moderate to frequent towing no matter what size of load you pull
