Exhaust Cutout use on CTD

I have been wanting to install a muffler elimination pipe, but like the quiet ride also. I was wondering about using an exhaust cutout. I searched all posts and found nothing pertaining to exhaust cutouts. I've found many aftermarket 4" cutout products - electric, unbolt, cable, etc. Has anyone here installed an exhaust cutout on thier Cummins ?

I've installed the electric cut-outs in several cars and there isn't a difference, the cut-out doesn't know if you have a truck or car, Chevy 350 or Cummins. They make alot of since, you can have the best of both worlds. A nice quite truck for most of the time, and the ability to open her up with a flick of a switch when the erg hits.

Thanks y-knot, I was just curious what brands are installed and working without any problems. I could have found more info this weekend if I would have had more than 10 minutes to spend at May Madness.



Anyone had any luck with exhaust cutouts lately ? Just wondering if the hold up ?

The newest Summit Racing mag had both 3-inch and 4-inch cutouts... specifically targeting diesels too, as one is for Ford with a 3. 5" version.
