Exhaust drone??????

I am thinking about removing my muffler and I was wondering if this would cause a drone in the cab??????

I can't say removing just the muffler will cure the drone problem, but it might be the start of narrowing down the possibilities.



I can say that my 4" JRE exhaust did eliminate the drone

I had my muffler removed but kept the resinator. It sounds really nice outside. In the cab I cant tell the difference except its a little louder when the engine is under 1500rpm. At crusing speed, and I've run from 55 to 80mph, there is no drone at all. I'm really happy with it myself.

Ditto on what Cummins4Life said, my muffler is removed, no drone, and the rumble it makes in low RPM's is . However I am considering stacks
