I have an '07 Megacab with 5000 miles on it. I have added the Edge Juice with Attitude Monitor, and a XDI Cold Air Intake. Which Exhaust is the best bang for my buck. I had a MBPR Cool Duals on my '96 3500. I didn't install the

cool duals until the stock exhaust system was shot. My question is "Do I just put an after market muffler on the truck since the factory exhaust is new or do I replace the whole exhaust system?"

since you have a four inch stock exhaust, I would just replace the muffler. I installed an Aeroturbine muffler on my wife's 03 four-years ago and been happy ever since.

My wife's truck didn't have a cat, but I would leave it on or at least save it. It may not be long before our trucks are inspected for these trucks.

I just did a cat and muffler delete on my 07. Got all MBRP stuff and could not have been happier with how it all fit. The old exhaust coming out, however, is a different story. Plan on taking your time to get it out. If you are doing a cat and muffler delete you need to save your tailpipe and downpipe. I would recommend using a die grinder with a cutting wheel. Make about 8 slots on the bell ends of the joints you are seperating. The cat from the downpipe is the worst. Both of these pipes are thick stainless and to make it worse the joint is completely boxed in by the transmission crossmember and other components. I would recommend bringing the downpipe and cat pipe out of the truck and seperating them where you can get to all sides of the joint.
