I am going to order my twins here in the near future and since it will come with a 5" downpipe, I was wondering how those of you completed your exhaust system. Will I have to buy a kit to finish it? Not sure where to find a 5" tailpipe. I currently have stacks, but am thinking of dumping them to run the exhaust out the back. The stacks are getting to be a bit much while pulling my trailer everyday.

depending on your stack kit you used you may be able to use current stack kit and make it 5 inch turbo back. but i dont know how you kit is done. Both my trucks i pretty much made my own setup (not much to do when you have a mig welder) and pieced together a grand rock kit using their P/N this gave me adjustability for better looking and easier maintence (ie: no pipe pinchn u-bolts) when needed exhuast. 5" pipe gets in the way when wrenching its nice having less under the truck. stacks are nice cuz when pipe is in the way its movable. pipes coming out the rear arent moveable. some will ask when do you need to move the exhaust I have found one instance so far. my only complaint thus far with our stacks is the road hazard they cause with people paying attention to the truck and not the dern road. one of these days i feel i may flip and break out the sawzaw. good luck

Thanks guys for the response. I am planning on straight pipping the exhaust. I can start with the stacks and go from there. I currently have a kit from grand rock. I will have to get a 5" to 4" reducer to fit the 90* elbow.

I had to replace myh 4-inch mbrp dools with a 5 inch system once i got the twins installed. The 5-4 inch reducer did not work well for me so i just decided to go with a 5 inch mbrp. It seems like it is more or less a straight pipe. The muffler doesn't look like much of a muffler. Gives it a depp throaty sound I like.

well, an MBRP won't restrict, but twins quiet the resonance so much, I have no reason to run one. I love the loud turbine sound out the exhaust without a muffler :D
