2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Exhaust hanger mounts

I'm in the process of installing my new exhaust system and have run into a bit of a snag. The previous owner when removing the muffler also removed the hanger mounts which are attached to the truck. This leaves me with no place to hang my pipe. I'm missing a total of 2 hangers. I called the local dealer and the front hanger is $109. 00, the rear is unavailable. One is all need as there won't be the weight of a muffler. I have the local junk yard looking for me right now to see if they have any although they aren't expecting to find any. Does anybody know of an avenue I haven't searched yet before dropping some coin on a hanger? Thanks.

check with a mom and pop muffler shop

the dealer makes all there money in the service dept

Try giving a local muffler shop (one that does custom exhaust work) as they quite often have universal mounts that they use in their day to day installations.

If not, they may at least be able to recommend a viable solution to your needs.

If the junk yard comes through I'll go that route, if not I'll probably just make one myself I guess. I was hoping for the stock quick and easy route. Some angle iron and some rod and it should work out fine.



The junk yard came through, $25 for both mounts, works for me.
