I am in need of a new exhaust but am very confused as to what I should get and why. Would I be better off with the 4" down pipe on the MBRP or the 3. 5 on the Magnaflow.

I am currently just running a comp and air filter. I will be adding injectors sometime soon. When my turbo goes south I will upgrade to something better. Will I have problems later if I get the 3. 5 down pipe?

I can get the Magnaflow for 400 shipped to my door with a tip. The MBRP will be closer to 500. Is there any real reason to spend the extra 100. 00?

I need a stainless system due to the weather around here.

Thanks ROb

Just a note that you might need a different downpipe depending on which turbo you choose. I think that HX-40 turbos and turbos that use a HX-40 downpipe use a 4" pipe, but I don't know if the one in the MBRP kit can be made to work.

you will probably need the 4" downpipe later anyway if decide to upgrade the charger. I would throw my vote to the mbrp. You can use it for a majority of the turbos out there for udgrade and sounds great too Oo.

I have nothing against magnaflow by any means, but from what I have heard the mbrp has an excellent fit and The sound is great. if you do plan on adding more upgrades than the 4" downpipe will definately have its benefit. as like others have said, with upgraded turbos, they usually require a 4" dp. I just odered mine Oo. so well see if im right

I just put the Banks Monster 4" kit with the power elbow in mine. LOVE IT! Neighbors don't though! :-laf

Check your turbo outlet very closely. Some of the HX35 have a 2 piece turbine outlet. One half bolts to the turbo and has the circular output which uses a "V" clamp to connect to the elbow with the 2 bolts for the down pipe. Mine had the elbow with the two bolt holes for the down pipe as a single unit.

Supposedly Stock Issue Note round outlet requiring the circular clamp to an elbow with the bolts for the down pipe.

Thanks for all the input guys. I decided to go with the MBRP. Mark from Diesel performance gave me a nice deal on it. I'll let you all know my thoughts once its in.
