I have used high heat ceramic paint in aluminum that you can pick up at any auto parts store. It is suppose to be good to 1800*F. I have painted downpipes and mufflers with it and never had it flake or bubble. Better stuff would be Por-20 Heat Resistant coating. Comes in a small can and you brush it on. I've done two ATS manifolds with it and they look awesome. It will last forever if you keep the mud off of it.

I too have used the Por 20 on a couple occasions. My first manifold I got it too thin and it runsted through in about a year but the second time I slobberd it on there and it's lasting nicely.

AK,

Is the Por-20 available at most auto parts also?

AK, sidebar issue

I just watched your burnout in your sig. It looked like your truck was burning on both rears. Is it? I have limited slip and mine only burns the right rear. Is something wrong with my differential?

Any of the ceramic high heat spray paints should work just as well. I don't know about down there, but up here, Por-20 is very hard to find. I get mine from Harley's Por House and they deliver it to my door. Like Scott said, use lots of coats. I do three coats on my ATS manifolds and turbo exhaust housings. I think I have coated two manifolds and 4 turbo exhaust housings (3 coats each) with an 8oz can. The ATS manifold in the pics here is coated with it.

One wheel peels are no good man. Don't let anyone see you doing one of those. :-laf Actually, I have L/S as well. I just use a non-L/S approved rear end lube, so the L/S doesn't work and they stay locked up. :-laf You think I'm joking.....
