Coming from a cold icy climate (most years:rolleyes: ) that will happen just from tire and brake heat. Using your parking brake can be a bad experience if you don't let things cool down first.

LMAO:D Sounds like you've got it down to a "T"! I never realized how many fans Dodge had until I went with a straight pipe. Most of them seem to be in little cars with the window down. As long as they keep telling me I'm number one I don't mind;)

Side pipes exiting in front of the rear wheel? Merrick and I have the only duals in TDR, I think... .

They get lots of attention, :D and are at the perfect height for blasting smoke into the windows of the little fast & furious roller skates. .

Nobody else has said anything about haveing them like ours :)

My pipes exit a little closer to the cab, and do not stick out as fasr as yours, otherwise they are identical.

I haven't had many people tell me I'm number one, but have had ALOT of people roll up here windows.

Loud pipes save lives. I've been saved several times by just romping on the go pedal, or downshifting. The pipes are louder than the stock horn, so, my horn is rotting away instead of getting used.

Whenever I pull up to somebody's house to pick them up, usually just two romps on the go pedal to ~1,500 RPM is the best way to get 'em out,, I don't even bother with the horn. (Works best with COMP on 5/5.

That sounds like such a cool trip. So, everyone thinks you are number one, eh? Sounds like you need some air horns to make a reply to the kind gesture?

I remember when I was a little kid trying to get the truckers to honk their air horns. When I was a kid I thought it was cool, little did I know that the drivers thought it was just as cool.

Now the excuse is that for Quality Control reasons they need to make sure the horns are in properly working order...

Tom, thanks for the info on Photopoint. I was one of the suckers that paid  . I lost a few photos also, would have been nice if they could have at least sent a warning to their customers. Time for a sig. line update  .

Mine's in front of the tire and about 2" farther out - no soot at all on wheel! It's too loud with the 21471 to leave the right window down. Time for a quieter muffler or back to a tailpipe - over the axle. I'd rather have the muffler cause I spent a lot of time making the 4" 308SS tailpipe with all the welded gores that I have now. I'm also getting tired of buying mufflers that I don't like! Craig

Why run that sweet music all the way to the rear...

when you can put it out the side into some little riceburner's ears. :D :D :D

What Briarhopper didn't tell you is that picture was taken immediately after detailing the truck. As soon as he starts it the right rear wheel is black :D !

The reason they put the pipe in the back is that the brakes would freeze. Another reason is when we had our trucks pulled up to the igloo (plugged in to a current bush of course) the exaust didn't have time too cool off (shorter pipe) if the breeze was blowing the right way, and it would melt us out of house and home:D

LOL, :D Steve got me there... . with my son the designated right rear wheel cleaner :D going off to college this fall, it's time for me to get stacks, so I can avoid the daily soot-wipe... :D

stacks

I just got my stacks on, I tinkered with the idea of tryin to split the exhaust underneath and running dual 4" straight out the back (like the gassers to) but the dual smoke trails from the stacks changed my mind. Its suprisingly quiet in the cab... . till i open the slider:D
