All right guys welcome me back... I just sold my 03 hemi 3/4 ton for an 05 CUMMINS 3/4 ton. The worst decision of my life was to get rid of my 02 cummins truck. Although I really like the power from the HPCR motor. Let the boms begin :D OK heres the question my truck has a catalytic converter, can I buy an exhaust for an 04. 5 non catalytic and just do away with the converter. Do all 05's have them or just mine??? Thanks as always for your help... youll be seeing a lot of me now :-laf

Cats have a way of leaving home and not coming back. Its a shame really.

And now my neighbors to the East (cheeseheads) have their state's permission to shoot them. Poor kittys. Seems like no one loves them anymore.

Smokin', do you want factory sound level?

Your 05 is 4" from the turbo, an 04 is 3. 5" from turbo then I believe it goes to 4. You could use it but might have to splice another little piece in there depending on where the 04 exhaust goes from 3. 5 to 4

04. 5 and newer are 50 state legal. Thanks alot CA.

If all you people would not move out here we wouldn't have to put these cats on. Every year the Rose bowl is on T. V. all you people see thje sunshine and move out here. Thanks for the inflated housing prices High 400s average San Diego County, Highest gas prices on the mainland. Just kiddin'

We have found one of the best exhaust modifications for the new trucks is simply to remove the stock muffler and replace it with an Aeroturbine and off-set pipe. The Aeroturbine is placed directly on the outlet of the cat and will help to avoid any drone while lowering EGTs. These systems are easy to install and sound great. They are currently on special in the classified section https://www.turbodieselregister.com...play_db_button=on&db_id=10951&query=retrieval

Nope wish it was as loud as my 02' but that aint gonna' happen! Im talking about buying an aftermarket exhaust for an 04'! I want the down pipe to the tip. Will it fit??? I imagine its the same just want you guys' opinion I dont want to use any of the stock exhaust in case I have to take it in for warranty! So all Im looking for is can I buy an exhaust for an 04' take mine off and install the 04' exhaust without causing confusion because the cat is now missing??? ( computer, check engine)??? Louder the better! Ill probably straight pipe it anyway. Has anyone done the 04' on the 05' ???or know someone that has??? Thanks again fellas :)

Just replace your cat with the aeroturbine with the resonator and get the MBRP straight through muffler. Thats what I did on mine. Plus the aeroturbine in place of the cat kind of passes for a wanna be cat. Sounds pretty good.

I got my exhaust from Mark and the aeroturbine from DieselPowerproducts.
