Exhaust question

so i just stright piped my truck. i took the muffler out. it is NICE and loud. but the wife does not like the drone. so. what do you guys use for a good sounding muffler? would adding a full flow cat cut out the drone? its not bad. but she does not like it. any ideas would be great

I've been runnin the MBRP muffler for 2 years now and it has a nice rumble when you get into it but no drone runnin down the road. I still have the stock cat on my truck with it.

i like the 5" turbo back from fbd and a donoldson m090535 muffler cheapest setup and very quiet with no drone for those that tow

My Silverline got even quieter after I put the hollowed Cat and installed right after the T-Case. Dont no why.

I think I'm gonna leave mine just like it is..... I haven't hooked up a trailer yet to see how loud it gets under load. Of course, they always sound different when they are workin' hard.

I'm gonna put my cat in the barn in case state inspections ever become an issue.

My Wife likes the sound of mine with out the muffler but she has not been in the truck when I am pulling the trailer it gets a lot lower and the sound bounces off the trailer and back into the cab when it is working hard. On a long trip I ended up using my Sound Cancelling head phones to cut it down.
