Just crawled under my truck to see where the exhaust noise was coming from. . The exhaust pipe is rusted through at the clamp in front of the muffler.

That is kind of a strange place for it to go bad?

04 2500 all original exhaust with 125,000

My 04 did the same thing I to thought what a strange place. I just replaced the whole thing with one of Stans. Headers exhaust sounds great and no DROOOOOOON. Had it on for 15k and the install was real easy.

Not uncommon at all on these things. Our '04. 5 had the pipe rust through in that spot in a little over 3 years. I replaced it, as well as the one on my '07, with a good quality 304 stainless system. In fact, I think there is a MBRP on the '04. 5 and a Silverline on the '07. If you are going to keep your truck for any length of time, I highly recommend spending the money on a good system now so you don't have to worry about it again.

Man I am on a bigtime quest to kill the DROOOOOOON. What is this Stans solution?

My system is getting ready to do what has been described and I want to kill the DROOOOOOON when I replace it.
