Have a couple questions.

Has anyone out there seen a really big difference between 4" & 5" exhaust? I get the impression that there won't be a huge difference unless I have a lot of HP.

Has anyone that lives in states, such as Colorado, that uses Mag-chloride for a de-icer seen a difference in durability between aluminized and stainless exhaust?

unless you are going to have BIG power like over 500 hp or so, you don't need it. Might make your EGT's a little lower but not enough to justify. .

I have the rip rook 4" with an allied truck muffler (straight through design) and it does good for my 400 hp. (eng).

on mine, a 5" would most likely lower EGT by a couple of hundred or so but not worth the cost.....

SS is a waste of money where I live.

I'm running 5" from Big Exhaust. It was as cheap as a 4" system. Should have bought their muffler too, but got a big truck muff under there.

Joe D has said many times that 4" is sufficient up to the low to mid 500's. It probably is. I like when folks notice that my 5" "tip" is NOT a tip.

When I do the stacks on the green truck I'll run 4" all the way to the verticle part. Easier to work with.

I recommend a 4" and straight thru muff.

Want to drop EGT's?--get a higher flowing turbo. Works most every time. :D
