I have an 03 HO and so far the next upgrade for me will be an exhaust. Any recommendations, as far as sound, quiet is perferable.

Thanks Guys.

I have MBRP cool duals and I love the sound... Mellow at idle but still sounds big rig. Cruising no drone mellow, full throttle nice and deep sound. I love mine and would recommend it to anyone!

go single.......

save your $$$. get a single setup. love my flo-pro 5", although it is loud. on the highway @70mph its quiet enough to listen to music, but just loud enough to drown out the ol' lady. :D

Check out pinnacle power exhausts its the one on my 04. I think its an awesome setup for a very good price. I don't have on of there mufflers yet so i dont know how quiet either of their mufflers are. They have a 7" straight through and a 6" glass pack style

I have an '03 dually 4x4, home made cold air intake (cost a whoppin' $10) Granatelli mileage chip.

My next mod was exhaust (May '03).

I had a hard time maiking a choice too.

Butr after all the research between 4"or 5", single or dual, under the bed or stacks.

I came to one conclusion everyone else's opinion is subjective, noisy to the is not to me?, so I figured why not after market exhaust is gonna set ya back at least $5-600 so why not just try the muffler eliminator pipe from Genos Garage?

LOVE it.

It appears a little bit a good noise from the tailpipe got in the way of everyones roolin' boom boxes.

In cab noise:

at cruise no load: had knows it's there

under load: slight increase

Drone: what drone

Behind the truck:

Idle: louder

Accelerating: yeah, its loud.

Oh, by the way, reminds me of the ggod ol' days of the real muscle cars we had.

PS I also drive my truck from the left front seat, not sitting on the tailgate where it's noisy.

I bought the stainless steel silverline kit that genos sell. good price, good quality, and good sound.

get a donaldson m090535 muffler from anderson brothers for $96 and a 5" turbo back from farm boys diesel for about $250 quiet as factory, price is right and you can install it by your self in two hours

I ordered a 4" Turbo Back Aluminized Silverline System for 315 shipped. Has welded hangers and nice band clamps that come with the exhaust. Also ordered a 19" 4" Resonator from Rip Rook to add the system. Before I installed it painted it with CAT Muffler paint which looks just like the factory black coating.

Fit n Finish is great, easy install. I am so glad I went with this setup. Startup and the exhaust is noticably quieter. Driving and it sounds like stock when not on the go pedal heavy, but when you give it some fuel you know there is a system on the truck but NO drone. The thing I love about this system is the Silverline muffler is straight through with no "veins" like most, and same with the resonator from Rip. So there is much turbo whitsle!

That's what I did, got the MEP from Genos. Cruising I can barely hear it. Under load up a grade is LOUD in the cab, but I love it. I have set off a car alarm with it before LOL :)
