Exhaust Split???

The other day my exhaust pipe split right at the front hanger, I was backing slowly off a curb and as my front right tire reached the ground my wife and I heard a loud thump,as I put it in Drive to go forward I could hear the roar. #@$%! I did have my Lance camper on at the time, any thoughts as the cause of this, There appears to be no rot involved as I have only 40,000 on it. I was pricing out new systems does anyone have a favorite, I know this time it will be stainless and 4 " (?) Flow master? Banks? any recommendations?

I bought a Banks 4 years ago,it is a 400 series stainless. I now have a 1/4

hole from the inside out, plus it has a lot of rust on it. I just bought a 304

stainless cat back system. I haven't put it on yet. I see we both live

in NY state. I would look for one of the 304 series because of the salt

we use in winter.

Who's 304 stainless did you buy and from whom. Thanks for the heads up. Not only the salt on the road I spend time on the beach also.
